LUXURY FAMILY RANGE OF CANS FOR TEAS / Tin Packaging Research

There are quite a lot of tea brands existed and there are different style of tea packaging.According to the brief are asking for luxury style designs with tin.There are some examples that existing in the market.

In Betty's tea room, the tea packagings are with a vintage design as it is quite an old tea room and its mainly with gold and black design with serif or script kind of typeface in gold colour, to make it look more classy and luxury. There are some pattern on the edge of most of the packaging in there too.

 

There are some designs with colorful patterns as well in John Lewis as well.



One of the most famous tea brands in the UK, Whittard, their tea tins designs are colourful, with some illustration of a cylinder kind of tin with handwritten tea name.



Also, biscuits and coffee from Whittard are luxury, with a simple design, still in a cylinder shape, but clean and simple with pastel colour for a different biscuit with embossed logo in silver. And coffees are with a bronze colour tin.

Another famous British tea brand Fortnum and Mason, their tea tints are mainly with tiffany blue tins, a lot of different shapes but stay similar kind of branding and design. With a tag in on the tin with gold outline and serif emboss type on the tin to make it luxury. Some of them comes in sets in a box with pattern and foiled logo with a transparent cover, so the customer will be able to see what is actually in the box and what are they getting.

 

It can still look really luxury with different colours by combining gold colour and patterns in the design.

There is a French brand tea called Kusmi tea and it is an expensive luxury tea brand. They use tins for their design and most of them are really colourful and bright. There are different shapes of tins that they use, and they are mainly cylinder.  

   

  

  

There is a limited edition line of product in their shop and it is really premium and luxury, the tins are in gold with embossing patterns and logo tag. Even the paper box packaging outside of the tin is in gold. 

  

Another luxury tea brand T2 is with more modern style of design, simple and clean, with just a tin with back colour and a tag with colour on it. Their tins are all black with an embossed logo, but the tags are with different colours.

  

  

There are some tins of different colour and pattern and they all look very fashionable and very modern.

  

There are so many styles of tea tins and they all look luxury in vintage style, modern, clean minimalist style, colourful creative style. So it is important to know what kind of tea brand it is when designing the tin and packaging. Also, gold and black are the most classic luxury element that includes most luxury tea brands.
