Animal's Rights / Final Evaluation

Final Evaluation - Collaboration with Katie

In conclusion, we believe our Action / Campaign against Animal Cruelty was successful. Initially, at the beginning stages of the brief, we were unsure to either do something minimalistic or extravagant to produce for the final outcome of the brief. Our aim was to create a project which is able to make main consumers (both gender age 16+) and new potential consumers the awareness of animals in cruelty. We decided to stick to 4 issues such as cosmetic testing, medication/science, animals used for clothing and adopt, not buy) Our first initial idea was to create a set of four seasons of animals magazine. The reason for this idea was that an editorial product such as a magazine will be able to convey the awareness of animals in cruelty. The second idea was to create an adoption gift box with website mockup designs. Due to timescale, we were unable to deliver four different magazines designs, each with a different issue so we decided to create an adoption gift box.

Our final was to create an adoption gift box. Our main inspiration was taken from a lot of research and the company called The Happy Bunny Club which sells similar boxes. An adoption gift box which will be given out for free after receiving 15 stickers on our designed loyalty card or with the adoption of the animal on our 'Petection' website. The boxes will be different as people are able to choose for which animal they will like to receive a box (cat, dog, rabbit or hamster). We have created an example of one animal which is a rabbit, the only difference between the boxes are types of treats and toys. The box contains a designed Thank you letter, two leaflets, one with information about the issues and the second one in a form of a card with information about our charity and campaign. Also, a bag of treats for a chosen animal and handcrafted toy, stickers and loyalty card. Everything is packed into an organic, cardboard box with nontoxic paint so the animal like a rabbit can eat too.

We created mockups for a website which contains all the information about our charity/ campaign,  about our four issues, a page which allows customers to download our leaflets as a pdf file, adoption/ and donation page which allows people to donate money or adopt an animal through the website. Get involved page with the information about an adoption gift box and a contact page. We have also created mockups for t-shirts with the logo, enamel mug, and a shopping bag.

Using google drive with Katie. Using the platform was beneficial as where we were able to share our media in an easy and quick way, we could both share information and work on each other designs. The google drive made everything organizable as we could create folders in which we could put developments, typefaces, sketches, and designs. Also, we were able to put photoshop files. This allowed us to give each other feedback in an easy and quick way, especially when we couldn't meet up together.

Overall, the brief challenging yet adequate. The main challenges of this brief were to decide on what we would like to put inside the adoption box and it was very hard for us to meet up sometimes, due to our separate projects. Nevertheless the collaboration and communication between me and Katie were sufficient as we worked very well and helped each other in design aspects. To conclude I would collaborate with Katie again as I really enjoyed it.
