Product Range Distribution - Animals For Christmas Presents - Ideas

First of all I have started from gathering all ideas for this brief together in one place.

IDEAS

- My first idea is to create a campaign including posters, leaflets and TV commercial which will persuade people to do not buy animals as a Christmas Present using the educational approach containing information about how much attention/ care animals need to make people think before they will go to the pet shop and buy an animal as a present. The idea is that the messages will be spread from different animals like dog, cat, and rabbits.

For this I will have to come up with:

* appropriate slogan
* theme
* colours
* target audience

Also:

* Posters
* Cards
* Leaflets
* Interactive Video

Also for this idea, I have to think about distribution if I want it to be an online campaign or print one.
During this time people are using a lot of social medias so I could create a web page for the campaign with the logo where I can put all my designs and information there for people to read and share. Also to download it as a PDF file.

Also, the second idea is to print out everything and distribute it in pet shops, vet clinics, because I think those two places are the most important ones, as people are getting animals from there. Also, it could be distributed on the bus stops, underground to make people see it everywhere before the Christmas season.

- The second idea is to create phone application for children which will teach them of how to take care of the animal. For this idea I have come up with two solutions:

* application for children already having an animal which will send alerts about when to feed/ walk an animal, when to take it to the vet and prices of it to show children how much care and responsibility it takes to have a pet. Children would have a range of different pets to chose from on the application like cat, dog, rabbit, bird and guinea pig. In the future, this feature can be developed by adding more animals to it.

* application which will prepare children to have an animal. Same as in the idea above, children would have a range of different pets to chose from like cat, dog, rabbit, bird and guinea pig as this feature might be developed. The application would be similar to the 'Talking Tom' game as it will send alerts to take care of the animal like to give food, bath and walk. After completing the tasks children would receive points so, on the end they might have received an award as a badge on the application which would say that the kid is ready to take care of a real animal.

- My third idea was to design and promote a product. I thought about designing and promoting a fake simulating toy looking like a cat, dog or rabbit to teach children of how much attention and care animals need before buying a real animal. The idea was taken from the program for teenage mothers called 'Baby doll simulators'. A stimulating toy would send alerts so a kid will have to give it a fake food, take it outside for a walk couple times a day etc.. As it will be not possible for me to construct the final product I thought only about designing and promoting it thought commercial and posters.

Feedback

In the feedback, I have asked people which approach is the most appropriate one.

- I like the first idea of creating a campaign.
- Last one, smart one
- First one
- I love the last one, but it seems very hard to make.
- I like the second idea of creating an application with the second approach.
- First idea
- First one
- Last one
- Application, the second approach, preparing children to have an animal showing how much care it needs.
- First one, I think it would be nice if you could use your own photography.
- Application with the second approach. I think the first one doesn't suit the theme of changing people's mind of buying animals for Christmas.
-  First one as it would communicate the message more successfully than the second approach.
- First one
- The last one is very clever. It will really help.
