Anti-hunting Campaign - Typeface

Type Development

We firstly looked at different typefaces using dafont.com to pick the most suitable one. As the logo design is quite dynamic and busy, we looked at very simple fonts so it would create a pleasing piece together without distracting anyone. On the bottom, we tried different typefaces with the final logo and asked some people for the feedback.

We couldn't find a perfect place to position our brand name and create a pleasing logo design. We tried a couple of different ways but it didn't work. We have decided to use Farsya's first idea from her sketches of using only the illustration of deer's head without the bottom part. As it will provide an extra space for the text.

Erasing the bottom part of the illustration and leaving only deer's head worked better with the text. So we decided to keep it and choose a right font. Farsya looked at the handwritten and calligraphy typefaces. In the end, we both agreed that this kind of font style makes the design overcomplicated and distracting the audience. Also, people which we asked for the feedback, suggested to us to try bold Sans Serif fonts to keep the balance between the symbol and name and make the type simple but on the same time 'loud' and noticeable from the distance.

We decided to use other people feedback and chose the last font which is Bebas Neue. We feel the font is suitable and keep a balance between the text and illustration. Also, stands out from the picture.
Below is an image of the final logo of the Anti-hunting campaign.
